About This Place

Nestled in the heart of Pomona, California, Wish You Were Here Coffee Roasters is much more than a typical coffee spot — it’s a vibrant, multifaceted destination that artfully blends the best of a coffee shop, brunch restaurant, and cocktail bar all under one roof. If you’re seeking a place to savor meticulously roasted coffee, indulge in eclectic small plates, or enjoy creative cocktails, this charming venue at 101 E 3rd St delivers on all fronts with an inviting, hip ambiance.

Specializing in craft coffee roasts, Wish You Were Here Coffee Roasters offers an enticing menu that celebrates bold flavors and fresh, organic ingredients. Their signature lattes — from the velvety Bourbon Caramel and fragrant Vanilla Sage to the rich and indulgent Oaxacan Mocha — each priced at $6.00, promise a beautifully balanced sip that awakens the palate with every cup. Customer favorites like the Iced Oaxaca Mocha have garnered praise for their authentic, traditional taste that hints at deep Mexican chocolate notes layered with cool creaminess, a perfect companion for Pomona's sunny days.

When it comes to food, the menu is equally compelling and thoughtfully curated. Brunch stands out as a star offering, with dishes like Chilaquiles — crunchy corn chips drenched in vibrant tomatillo sauce, topped with perfectly poached eggs, sour cream, pickled red onions, and crumbly Cotija cheese — evoking a comforting yet lively sensation on your tongue. The Chicken & Waffles dish elevates a classic pairing with a soft tater tot waffle infused with sage brown butter maple syrup and a hint of hot sauce, delivering a delightful mix of sweet, savory, and spicy that lingers memorably. Additionally, the Birria Taquitos, filled with tender braised beef and fresh cilantro, wrapped in warm flour tortillas, offer a savory, umami burst as you bite in.

Diners can also enjoy a refreshing and wholesome Granola Bowl, brimming with berry medley, toasted coconut, and dark chocolate nibs, perfect for an energizing yet comforting start to the day. The diverse menu perfectly suits both leisurely brunchers and those popping in for a flavorful lunch or a quick, satisfying small plates experience.

The atmosphere of Wish You Were Here Coffee Roasters is undeniably one of its most magnetic qualities. As reviewer Athena Garcia-Gunn noted, it’s a place where “people on laptops, bikers stopping for a quick cup, and even patrons with puppies” mingle in an inclusive and warm environment. The venue strikes an attentive balance between lively social space and cozy nook, making it ideal for both studying and casual meetups. This eclectic, welcoming vibe is echoed by Julio, who describes it as a “cute hip coffee shop” with ample seating, ensuring comfort even on busy days.

Service here embodies genuine hospitality. While some visitors like Kerby Lugue observed occasional delays due to limited staff, the team’s kindness and readiness to make things right—like quickly correcting missed orders—shine through as a testament to their dedication. Nathalie E highlights the robust menu and excellent coffee, recommending early arrival on weekends to beat the crowd but emphasizing the genuinely great vibes throughout the experience.

Beyond its menu and ambiance, Wish You Were Here Coffee Roasters stands as a community hub where quality, care, and artisanal craftsmanship converge. Whether you’re diving into a rich double espresso, savoring the subtle herbal notes of a vanilla sage latte, or indulging in a savory Carnitas Sope Benedict, each bite and sip feels intentional and heartwarming.

In essence, Wish You Were Here Coffee Roasters invites you not just to enjoy a meal or a drink but to partake in a spirited, rich sensory experience that feels both refreshingly authentic and deeply satisfying. For anyone visiting Pomona looking for a vibrant spot with both culinary and caffeinated delights, this gem is sure to delight your taste buds and soothe your soul.

This is a cute hip coffee shop. It is located inside O’Donovan’s Restaurant & Pub. Don’t worry, they have a lot of signs, so you won’t get lost and find them. They’re is a lot of seating. I came on 11-20-2025 at 12:00 pm. There were quite a lot of people, but there was still seating. Drink: I got an iced Oaxaca Mocha coffee. Oh man, was this iced coffee good. It tasted like a traditional Oaxaca coffee. You can taste the spices, such as cinnamon, chocolate, and nutmeg. Absolutely delicious. The price was $6.50. Food: I was really impressed by the breakfast burrito. FYI, this is a vegan burrito. It comes with Soyrizo, crispy tots, and avocado wrapped in a flour tortilla. You can add egg for $2.00 and cheese for $0.75. If you aren’t a vegan or vegetarian, it is highly recommended to get the egg and cheese. It adds more flavors to the already delicious burritos. I loved the crispy tots. It was crunch. I really did like the avocado in it because I don’t like hot avocado. Other than that, it was delicious. The burrito cost was $12.75 because I added the egg and cheese. Service: Service was excellent. Everyone was friendly and very knowledgeable. 10/10 recommend it!!

Qaint place, great food, excellent coffee and amazing vibes. It was about $50 for breakfast and coffee for 2 people. The menu is robust enough, and they have specialty coffee. Get there before 930am on the weekends to avoid the rush. The only complaint I had was when a line starts to form, people tend to stand right up against your table as you're sitting there eating.

Food: Ordered two Oaxacan Mochas. They were delicious! Highly recommend Atmosphere: Definitly has a great coffee shop vibe, good place for studying or socializing. We saw people on laptops, some bikers stopping for a quick cup, we saw people with puppies … very diverse and welcoming Service: Great service, kind people. We waited a while for our coffee but they were delicious. We chatted with some locals while waiting. Def worth stopping by.

During my recent visit, I observed that the service provided was satisfactory. Although there was a slight delay in order placement due to limited staff, the staff members demonstrated a friendly and courteous demeanor, which was commendable. There was an instance where one order was missed, but the staff member with the tattoo promptly acknowledged the error and graciously offered the missing item as a complimentary gesture. It is worth noting that the missed order was not registered in the system. The food quality was satisfactory, and the coffee was particularly noteworthy. Once the order was placed, the service was expeditious. Based on this experience, I am inclined to revisit the establishment to sample other menu items.

We went here on Sunday afternoon, and the parking was free. It is a good spot for studying. Also I think it is a legit coffee shop since they made my latte in a mug, we ordered hot bourbon latte $6.50 and oaxacan latte and it was so good!

Sage Vanilla oat milk latte, unique earthiness to compliment the sweetness of the vanilla +inviting vibes, great coffee aroma - wait time longer than expected, but worth it! Great local experience for coffee lovers, plenty of flavors to choose from depending on your mood.

Great atmosphere! Amazing coffee! Love coming here in the mornings! The vibes are great, staff are very kind and the coffee roasts are so good! I have been getting their hot latte and it is one of my favorites! The food is also absolutely delicious!! We love their vegan breakfast burrito!! I’m not sure what they add to it but it’s especially delicious!!Service is a bit slow given that there are not many people running the coffee stand, but the people that are there are very friendly and helpful. I just wish it was open longer; it’s a great place to study!
